Why Hold Truth

Why hold truth when I can make up the facts? Cain brought what he thought was good enough and called it devotion. Ananias and Sapphira staged a part as the whole and called it a gift. Today the same offense wears church clothes — the gift gets blamed, the warning gets argued down, and the fault gets moved without removing the flame. A song about the lies we speak and the accounts we manufacture, and the truth that does not bend for either.
