THE EATHRONIAN CALENDAR
By Elijah Tate
Total Length: 438 days
Months: 15
Seasons: 5
Leap Cycle: +1 day every third year
Purpose: Engineered synchronization with Earth's developmental timeline
The Nexians designed Eathron's calendar with mathematical precision. Their calculations established that:
• 15 Eathron years = 18 Earth years
• 18 Earth years = 6,574.5 days
• Therefore, 1 Eathron year = 438.3 days
The fractional remainder (0.3 days) is accounted for through a ritualized adjustment every third year.
THE FIVE SEASONS OF EATHRON
Each season contains three months, for a total of 15 months.
The seasons alternate between 87-day and 88-day lengths to reach the 438-day total.
Season 1 — Veris (87 days)
The Season of Renewal
• Novellum — 29 days
• Florentis — 29 days
• Germina — 29 days
Season 2 — Aestas (88 days)
The Season of Growth
• Solara — 29 days
• Luxora — 30 days
• Calora — 29 days
Season 3 — Mutara (87 days)
The Season of Change
• Vespera — 29 days
• Messora — 29 days
• Auranta — 29 days
Season 4 — Frigus (88 days)
The Season of Stillness
• Glacis — 29 days
• Nivora — 30 days
• Tenebris — 29 days
Season 5 — Tepora (88 days)
The Season of Awakening
• Lenitas — 29 days
• Revora — 30 days
• Praelum — 29 days
THE INTERCALARY MOMENT — TRANSITOR
At the end of Praelum lies Transitor, a liminal period lasting 0.3 days (7.2 hours).
It is not counted as part of any month or season.
It is:
• a breath between cycles
• a ritual moment of stillness
• a symbolic "reset"
• the hinge between endings and beginnings
Every third year, Transitor becomes a full day, added to the month chosen by the ruling House of Tempora.
WHY THIS CALENDAR MATTERS IN-WORLD
This system is not natural.
It is engineered.
The Nexians designed Eathron's orbit and calendar so that:
• Eathronian children reach maturity at the same developmental moment as Earth's children, despite the different length of the year.
This is the foundation of the Age Equivalence Problem, and the first clue that the Nexians intentionally synchronized the two worlds.
This creates a balanced thermal environment with extended seasons, which fits perfectly with:
• the 438-day year
• the engineered 5-season cycle
• the Nexians' need to design climate rather than rely on nature
• the Age Equivalence Problem
Eathron orbits at ~1.20 AU
About 20% farther from its star than Earth is from the Sun.
Its star is a high-luminosity F-type
Hotter, brighter, and more energetic than Sol.
The result:
• Temperatures remain Earth-like
• Seasonal transitions stretch longer
• Daylight is slightly brighter and sharper
• Shadows are more defined
• Colors appear more saturated
• The sky has a faint golden tint
• Climate patterns are more dramatic
This is why Eathron's seasons are longer, deeper, and more mythic — and why the Nexians had to engineer the seasonal cycle to maintain stability.
This also ties beautifully into the idea that Eathron was constructed, not discovered.
