Few salamanders are viewed as friendly or approachable, largely due to the toxic ooze their skin secretes. Drago is no exception — and being part of the Shadow Assassins only amplifies the threat he represents. A mostly silent operative, he prefers muteness over speech. Not out of choice, but out of self‑preservation.

A rare birth defect left him with a single buck tooth jutting crookedly where his left incisor should be. The deformity twists his speech into a slur and a lisp, making him an easy target for ridicule. Drago is painfully aware of how others react to his voice, and mockery has followed him since childhood. Silence became his shield long before he ever learned to wield a blade.

As the only male permitted within the Shadow Assassins, Drago is a unique exception to the clan’s “no men allowed” rule. His toxic secretion is invaluable — used to craft a wide range of poisons and antidotes. Every member of the clan must survive exposure to his secretion during initiation, developing immunity before they can begin the specialized combat training that defines the Shadow Assassins.

Despite his quiet nature, Drago possesses an uncanny ability to analyze a battlefield. Strategy comes to him as naturally as breathing. Yet to assume he is not a fighter would be a fatal mistake. His entire body is a weapon. Like all reptilian species, he is trained in multiple martial arts disciplines, and his tail serves as a whip capable of breaking bone.

As an Ember‑class salamander, Drago can superheat his body until his secretion vaporizes into a lethal airborne toxin — instantly fatal to anyone lacking immunity.

He moves clothed in shadow, wearing a black cloak trimmed with deep green along the hem — a subtle distinction marking his unique status. His hood hangs low to obscure his eyes, while a lower mask conceals his mouth and the tooth he despises.

This “Pugnacious Pugilist” stands only five feet tall, but height is irrelevant. His greenish‑brown skin glows a reddish hue when he ignites his inner flame. His voice, when he chooses to use it, carries a serpentine hiss that further complicates his already hindered speech. His slender frame grants him exceptional flexibility, allowing him to slip through tight spaces and strike from impossible angles.

Drago’s preferred weapons are acupuncture‑style needles, often coated in his own secretion. His accuracy is so precise that he rarely needs the toxin — but when he does, it ensures a kill without evidence. His knowledge of pressure points and anatomy makes him one of the deadliest assassins alive.
